Notes: According to the Jewish Communal Register 1917-1918, it was known as "Anshei Bobruisk, Congregation," located at 203 Henry Street, and organized in 1892. According to the 1939 WPA Survey, it was organized in 1899 and started meeting in the home of its first president, Benjamin Wolfson, at 399 Grand Street. Beginning in 1929, they maintained rented quarters at this address for a meeting hall and synagogue for members who still lived on the East Side. In 1919, the congregation purchased a branch synagogue in Brooklyn at 228 Christopher Avenue, after many of their members had moved there.
