Notes: According to the 1939 WPA Survey was previously located at 140 E 2nd (1923-28), 157 E 4th (1928-33), and 630 E 5th (1933-38). There was a congregation organized in 1911 as the Smotrecher Benevolent Association. In 1913 another congregation of older Jews from Smotrech organized the Smotrecher Chevra Cadishe. About 1934 these two congregations merged.
