Notes: According to the 1939 WPA Survey, this address is the site of two very similar congregations, which may actually be the same one. One congregation is Congregation Beth Hachnesses Anshei Mielec (or Mislo?), located in a 3-story building at this address dedicated in 1911. The congregation had been organized in 1883 and had originally been known as Anshei Mielo Achsudum, which merged in 1896 with Chevra Bnai Heida. In 1905, it chartered under its present name. The first rabbi was Isaac Horowitz of Poland from 1921 to 1928. The other congregation is Beth Haknesseth Anshei Mieletz, located in a brick building at this address built in 1921. The congregation had been organized in 1888 as the union of four small grouplets of immigrants from the same town of Mieletz.
