Notes: Subsequently located at 140 East 2nd Street (1923-1928), at 157 East 4th Street (1928-1933), at 630 East 5th Street (1933-1938) and at 193 East 2nd Street after 1938. There was a congregation organized in 1911 as the Smotrecher Benevolent Association. In 1913, another congregation of older Jews from Smotrech organized the Smotrecher Chevra Cadishe. About 1934, the Smotrecher Benevolent Association merged with the Smotrecher Chevra Cadisha. (According to the 1939 WPA Survey) Found as "Chevra Kadisha" at the Suffolk Street address on the Defunct list in the 1939 WPA Survey with the note: "At present site occupied by Independent Grasitzer Congregation."
