Notes: According to the 1907/1908 American Jewish Year Book, Chevra Gemilath Chasodim Anshe Mutele was a congregation that was then located at 80 Norfolk Street, had been organized in 1904, and had a membership of 50. According to the Jewish Communal Register (1917/1918), Gemilath Chasodim Anshei Motele was an orthodox congregation then located at 245 Division Street that had been organized in 1904, had a membership of 73, a seating capacity of 73, sick benefit and free loan societies, and was associated with a cemetery. According to the 1939 WPA Survey, the Chevra Gamilis Chasidim Anshei Motele, also known as the Chevra Anshei Motele or, in English, the Men of Motele Society, was then located at 184 Henry Street, where it rented the dedicated first floor a two-story 1919 brick building. It had been organized in 1904 by immigrants from Motele, Poland (now known as Motol, Belarus) and was associated with Montefiore and Mount Zion Cemeteries.
