Notes: Organized 1898 as Congregation Anshe Zembraver, and incorporated March 10, 1898 as Chevra Anshe Zembrowe. "The original name of this society was "Congregation Anshe Zembraver." Another society, called "Zembraver Benevolent Society" was formed in 1928 from the parent congregation. The later society ... always met in the same places as the parent congregation. In 1938, both organizations consolidated to form the "United Zembrave Society." Occupied various rented East Side locations until 1934, when started renting 1st floor of a 2 story brick building at current address. Burial: Washington, Mt. Hebron, Beth David.
