Notes: According to the 1939 WPA Survey, Merovi was a town in Russia. The main purpose of the synagogue was to further the teaching of children in Judaism. The congregation was located on 125th Street from 1911 to 1913, at 600 West 125th Street (the Republican Club) from 1913 to 1918, and on LaSalle Street from 1918 to 1923. In 1939, it was in a small two-story brick building with the name of the synagogue in stone.
