Notes: According to the American Jewish Yearbook 1907/1908, it was located at 60 Norfolk Street. According to the Jewish Communal Register 1917/1918, it was founded in 1812 and was located at 64 Norfolk Street. The American Jewish Yearbook 1900/1901 says it was founded in 1888 and was located at 54 Norfolk Street, which is in conflict with the 1939 WPA Survey which says it was at 60-64 Norfolk Street from 1885. From the 1939 WPA Survey: "In 1859 the congregation divided in two - one called the Forsyth St. Synagogue, the other remaining as incorporated. In 1861, another division which moved to 21 Delancey St." Previously: Bayard St (1852-83), Pearl St (1853-56), Allen St (1856-78), Forsyth (1859), Ludlow (1872), 60-64 Norfolk (1885-)."
