Notes: Previously located (1889-97) at various halls on the East Side; (1897-1910) 66 Clinton Street; (1910-1930) 317 E 8th; (1930-38) 369 E 8th. This Congregation is also known as Austrian Chevra Lechis Yoshe Bnai Horowitz. From 1928 to 1930 the name was 'Anshe Kalusz Lechis Yoshe' due to a merger with Anshe Kalusz Congregation. In 1930 the congregations parted and this congregation assumed its old name. (According to another record in the 1939 WPA Survey, they had merged in 1924).
